PepsiCo is currently partnering with Salesforce to implement AI in an even broader sense across their business. PepsiCo is adopting Agentforce as AI, that is like lots of smart digital workers come into play to assist with customer service, sales, fulfillment and managing stock in stores, thus enabling PepsiCo to be one of the first large food and beverage companies to use this AI tool and technology in such an effective way.

The objective is actually very simple: in the hope of speeding up activities, and operating more efficiently, while allowing staff to concentrate on the big picture. Instead of tasking individuals with doing absolutely everything, these AI agents will take on the heavy lifting, and allow individuals to make decisions so much quicker! This also forms part of PepsiCo’s strategy of continued growth by using technology to keep abreast of a changing world.

Ramon Laguarta, the CEO of PepsiCo, said AI is changing how they work, and working with Salesforce is allowing them to become more connected and smarter in their decision making. Marc Benioff, the CEO of Salesforce, believes that PepsiCo is ahead of the curve, and doing a great job in combining people and AI to make improvements to how they conduct business.

The company’s customer data will be pulled into the same location, meaning teams no longer have to scour multiple locations for reports and info. The in-store teams will now also see live inventory viewing for stores, which will maintain inventory levels and prevent out of stocks.

They are going to use this technology to run improved marketing campaigns, more personalized campaigns that better reflect customers’ expectations. They also have a new tool for better planning sales promotions, which will create stronger ties to its retail partners and less wasting of money.

Athina Kanioura, VP of strategy at PepsiCo, said that Agentforce is allowing them to make better data-driven decisions and allow the company to show up better prepared for the future on the future.

In short, PepsiCo is embracing AI and making their company faster, smarter and in-tune with customer needs. For a company of this size, it is a big deal and just the start.
