REDWOOD CITY, CALIF & SEOUL KOREA, , 8TH   MAY , 2025 – Hyundai Motor Group seeks to deploy proprietary platform HCloud into Equinix data centers worldwide, aiming at faster and reliable connected car services. The deployment is meant to enhance the digital user experience of over 10 million subscribers in the world.

HCloud is Hyundai’s private cloud built specifically around the in-car connectivity needs that are growing for low-latency, high-speed, and scalable ones. More and more, today’s vehicles rely on real-time data and seamless service delivery, and Hyundai is taking advantage of Equinix IXB® facilities, among others, in Asia, the United States, and Europe.

Thanks to the same Equinix Fabric®, HCloud even interconnects with major public cloud providers, including AWS. This hybrid multi-cloud architecture enables the operationalization of a stable and scalable service while minimizing latency and increasing global footprint.

Hyundai’s in-car connectivity services need high infrastructure requirements supporting infotainment, telematics, and mobile applications. Equinix’s data centers across Seoul, Los Angeles, and Frankfurt are preferred locations due to the highest-ever network density, strategic closeness, and SLA-backed assurance.

The deployment is part of Hyundai’s long-term strategy to double its connected car service user base to 20 million by 2026. With projections indicating that 95% of new vehicles will be connected by 2030, the need for scalable, reliable infrastructure is more critical than ever.

This partnership reinforces Hyundai’s digital transformation while setting the foundation for smarter and more responsive mobility. Future updates will focus on expanding functionality and maintaining consistent quality across global markets.
