Arlington, VA, 21st March 2025 – Darktrace Federal has exciting news! The company has just achieved a significant milestone by receiving its Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP®) High Agency Authority to Operate (ATO). This means that the U.S. government has officially recognized Darktrace Federal’s Cyber AI Mission Defense™ and Cyber AI Email Protection™ as secure and compliant with high security standards.

This achievement allows Darktrace to provide advanced AI-powered cybersecurity solutions to federal agencies. FedRAMP is a program that helps federal agencies adopt secure cloud services. By achieving the FedRAMP High ATO, Darktrace Federal can now handle the most sensitive data for the U.S. government in cloud environments.

Marcus Fowler, CEO of Darktrace Federal, emphasized the importance of this achievement, saying, “There has never been a more urgent need to bolster cybersecurity in the US federal government.” He noted that the growing use of AI by adversaries has created a complex threat environment.

With this new designation, federal customers can access Darktrace’s AI-driven solutions designed to protect against sophisticated cyber threats. These tools help establish behavioral zero trust and support human security teams in their efforts to keep technology infrastructure safe. Fowler expressed enthusiasm about working with federal customers, stating, “We look forward to partnering with federal government customers to protect their technology infrastructure from cyber attacks in the era of AI.

In a recent survey, over half of global government cybersecurity professionals reported seeing a significant impact from AI-powered threats. However, many believe that AI can greatly enhance their defense capabilities. Darktrace’s products use Self-Learning AI to understand normal behavior in an organization and autonomously defend against threats.

This innovative approach empowers federal agencies to safeguard their digital environments against various cyber risks, including nation-state attacks and phishing attempts. With these advancements, Darktrace Federal is set to play a crucial role in strengthening cybersecurity for the U.S. government.
