Cloudflare Integrates Quantum-Safe Cryptography into Zero Trust Solutions
San Francisco, CA, 18th March 2025 – A global leader in cloud computing services, Cloudflare, Inc.(NYSE: NET) recently announced that its Zero Trust Network Access solution has expanded to include full End-to-End support for post-quantum cryptography.
Organizations can now securely route communications from web browsers to corporate web applications, achieving quantum-safe connectivity. By mid-2025, Cloudflare plans to offer support for all IP protocols, significantly increasing the scope of enterprise application and device integration.
To tackle the threat posed by advances in quantum-computing, which stand to obliterate existing encryption techniques, The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and America’s security agency suggested switching to post-quantum cryptography.
Experts predict that known cryptographic measures will become highly compromised in just five years.

Cloudflare has been oriented towards research, development, and the standardization of post-quantum cryptography since 2017. Currently, more than 35 percent of human-made traffic interacting with Cloudflare’s comprehensive network utilizes post-quantum protection.
The company’s Zero Trust Network Access solutions cloud over data traveling through the public internet while minimizing the damage caused by “data harvest-now, decrypt-later” attacks which capture encrypted data for decryption later using upgraded quantum computers.
With the integration of post quantum cryptography to Zero Trusts solution, Cloudflare assists clients in protecting their web traffic without the need to individually update every hosted corporate app or system. This guarantees that companies will continue to preserve the privacy and authenticity of their sensitive information as quantum computing advancements mature.
