NVIDIA & xAI Join BlackRock & Microsoft in $30 Billion AI Infra Partnership

New York, USA, 20th March 2025 – In a noteworthy development, NVIDIA, alongside Elon Musk’s xAI, has joined the American AI Infrastructure Partnership (AIP). This consortium, consisting of BlackRock, Microsoft, Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), and MGX plans to invest over $30 billion into AI infrastructure development.  

This collaboration will attempt to resolve the rising need for data centers as well as energy solutions that are supportive of more sophisticated AI technology. In the case of this partnership, up to $100 billion can be raised when debt financing is added to the investment estimate.

Declared His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of MGX.  

“With the new partners joining the AIP, we will work harder to foster innovations and breakthroughs that help achieve transformational productivity improvements across the global economy.”  

NVIDIA will remain as a technical adviser of AIP, where he will continue to provide guidance using his knowledge in accelerated computing and AI factories in the construction of next generation AI data center infrastructure.  

The AI infrastructure expansion is for the good of every business, every nation that aims for economic advancement and seeks to tackle the biggest issues of our time. Jensen Huang, founder, and CEO of NVIDIA said this. 

“NVIDIA’s full-stack AI infrastructure will enable entire industries to transform data into intelligence. Resulting in breakthroughs previously deemed impossible.”  

Moreover, AIP is set to deepen its partnership with GE Vernova and NextEra Energy to further diversify and scale the energy solutions for AI data centers. In addition, GE Vernova will support AIP and its partners on innovative supply chain and energy efficiency solutions.

Satya Nadella, Microsoft Chairman and CEO, commented.

Most funding from the AIP will be directed towards the U.S. and then OECD and non-OECD partner countries for investment and development of artificial intelligence, economic growth, and digital and energy infrastructure development.
