WASHINGTON, D.C. 9th APRIL 2025-Today, Accenture Federal Services released news regarding an important cyber security initiative. Its Managed Extended Detection and Response (MxDR) solution for U.S. government agencies will now use the Google Cloud Chronicle SecOps platform.

This shift is intended to enhance and digitize the defenses of the federal government to adapt to modern cyber threats.

With the addition of Google’s SecOps, which includes proactive threat identification, faster response times, and extensive data access, Accenture will now be able to integrate their proprietary MxDR systems.

The integrated platform combines Accenture’s mission-centric expertise and threat intelligence with Google’s SecOps. This solution specifically addresses the problem of growing security risks in multi-cloud and hybrid organizational environments.

John Goodman, CEO of Accenture Federal services said,

“This is a critical advancement to help federal agencies better anticipate and respond to sophisticated cyberattacks.”

He emphasizes that leveraging Google’s SecOps enables greater cyber resilience for the government.

Fulfilling the needs of civilian, defense, and intelligence agencies, the solution will assist in dealing with federal mandate compliance lagging such as Executive Order 14028 focused on nation-wide cybersecurity.

Agencies will have greater control and transparency concerning new evolving threats with the use of automation, analytics, and AI.

Security concerns to protect national interest can now be dealt with efficiently. Phil Venables, CISO of Google Cloud said, “Cyberattacks are growing in speed and complexity.”

Federal networks, facing growing sophistication in nation state backed cyber-attack tools underscored by ransomware gangs, are adapting to the collaborative efforts of Google and Accenture.
